Television dentist, James Russell, visited Prestfelde School in Shropshire to open the new science labs.

Mr Russell, an advisor on Channel 4’s hit show Embarrassing Bodies, was a pupil at the school, which is located on London Road, Shrewsbury, until the age of 13 and he is now an award-winning dentist based in London.

Mark Groome, headmaster of the school, said it was great for the children to meet Mr Russell and for him to be part of the opening of the new science labs, which are a real asset to the school. Mr Russell took time to run a science workshop with the kids, which they thought was great fun, as well as being interesting and educational.

The new science labs have been named after long-serving teachers, Keith Bell and Philip Banks and they boast all mod-cons, including smart boards, which are designed to interact with the school’s new iPads.

Mr Russell enjoyed meeting the children and visiting his old school and he was definitely impressed with the new science labs.
