Tributes are pouring in for a dentist from Sevenoaks after he lost his battle with cancer.

Family, friends and colleagues have paid tribute to Simon Wragg, 54, who has died after battling stomach cancer. His family praised his “courage and dignity” while fighting the disease and said that he was amazingly brave and an inspiration to everyone.

Even in the final stages of his illness, Simon pushed himself to complete new challenges and he managed to walk the final part of the Marsden March, a fundraising event, which raises money for the Royal Marsden Hospital and involves a 5 mile walk between the centres in Sutton and Chelsea. Simon was joined by his wife and their three children, Emily, 16, Jonny, 20 and Ben, 23.

Mrs Wragg, who is a dental nurse at Atkinson Brignall in Sevenoaks, said that the Royal Marsden Hospital had been amazing and thanked all the members of staff who had cared for Simon for their love, care and support. She also paid tribute to her husband, who fought until the end and showed great strength to walk the final stage of the race and also to organise a 50th birthday part for her, which provided an opportunity for her husband to spend time with all their friends and relatives.

Mr Wragg was a dentist at the Warwick Dental Practice in Tunbridge Wells for more than 20 years.
