Chloe Meadows, from ITV’s hit series The Only Way is Essex, is set to appear at a charity event hosted by a local dentist on Friday 3rd May.
Chloe, who is currently appearing in the 24th series of the reality show, will be lending her support to the team at Woodford House Dental Practice by drawing the raffle at the practice’s Make May Purple event. The proceeds of the fundraiser will be donated to the Stroke Association.
Guests will have the chance to meet Chloe, and there will also be refreshments, a live performance from singer, Maureen Tarler, and the opportunity to win some great prizes.
The dental team will also be hand to offer oral hygiene advice and to provide information about spotting the symptoms of a stroke. Guests will also be able to have their blood pressure checked for free.
Research suggests that people who have gum disease are up to twice as likely to suffer from heart disease as those with healthy teeth and gums. Strokes occur when the blood supply to the brain is disrupted, preventing oxygen flow. The most common signs are slurred speech, one side of the face drooping, blurred vision, dizziness and weakness or numbness, which usually affects one side of the body.
The event will take place at the clinic, which is located on High Road, on Friday 3rd May between 10am and 2pm.
