Tourists Encouraged to Visit London’s Eclectic Museums including the BDA Dental Museum

Sample News Big

In the run-up to the London Olympics, tourists are being encouraged to discover some of London’s less well-known museums.

Most visitors to the capital will be aware of the Victoria and Albert Museum, the British Museum and the Natural History Museum, but many may be unaware of the vast number of quirky museums, including the British Dental Association’s Dental Museum.

The BDA Dental Museum was established almost 100 years ago but many Londoners may be aware of its presence in the Marylebone area of the city. The museum contains more than 20,000 exhibits and items, from historical dental instruments to photographs and furniture, including dental chairs, dating back to times gone by.

Many people fear the dentist, but the BDA Dental Museum is well worth a visit, especially if you think that modern dentistry is something to worry about. You may feel very relieved when you see what patients from previous decades were faced with when they climbed into the dental chair.
