The Future Looks Bright for Australian Dental Chain
Daryl Holmes, the owner of the 1300 Smiles, is looking forward to expanding his business in the future and shows no signs of slowing down, despite having an estimated $90 million fortune.
Holmes owns 23 practices but is not a typical millionaire and rather than spending his time on fancy holidays and golfing trips, Holmes is very much focused on the task in hand and he still helps out providing dental care for patients on a regular basis.
Earlier this year, Holmes and his team of staff provided custom-made mouth guards for the Queensland Cowboys NRL team, but he is equally happy spending a day in the surgery and he recently dedicated a morning to caring for a 93 year old patient.
Holmes has also been a volunteer on the medical ship, Youth with a Mission, which provides medical and dental treatment to remote communities in Papua New Guinea and he has also worked with Aboriginal communities, where standards of oral health are notoriously low.
