TePe has stepped up its movement of sustainably sourced products with the release of the first bio-based plastic toothbrush, the latest addition to the company’s ‘Good’ range.

The product was first on show at the BDIA Dental Showcase 2018 from the 17th to the 19th of October, and goes on sale in dental practices and surgeries next month at the price of £2.75.

The toothbrush holds the distinction of using 100% green energy, and is created from bioplastic based on sugar cane and castor oil. The process means the toothbrush can recirculate up to 95% of CO₂ emissions without compromising on quality, allowing for a brush that combines efficiency with maximum cleanliness.

And this is only the start of the breakthrough process for TePe, according to their UK head of clinical education, Elaine Tilling:

“The TePe Good product range marks a milestone in our continued journey towards a more sustainable future.”

With more products set to follow, the future of oral health certainly looks green.
