Thanet MPs Welcome News of 15,000 Extra Dental places

Sample News Big

Thanet MPs have welcomed news of 15,000 new dental places in the area, Conservate MPs Laura Sandys and Sir Roger Gale welcomed news of two new dental contracts, which will replace the places lost when surgeries in Ramsgate and Sandwich closed last year.

The MPs confirmed that the new contracts would come into play from April, securing 15,000 NHS dental places in Thanet. Patients have been directed to temporary providers since the two surgeries closed last year, but from April, there will be a permanent solution for residents.

MP Laura Sandys said that it was a relief to hear that new permanent contracts had been signed. The MPs called an urgent meeting following news of the proposed closure of the practices in Ramsgate and Sandwich to ensure that all the parties involved were aware of the importance of finding a long-term solution and ensuring that patients in the area continue to have access to NHS dental care on their doorsteps.

Sir Roger Gale said that the termination of the contract caused “wholly avoidable and unnecessary distress to patients” and said that it was a great relief that the places were now secure.

Patients who are looking for a dentist in Thanet are advised to call the Dental Helpline on 0808 2389797.

the lack of dental services in Thanet is just another example of the incompetence of this uncaring tory goverment as they wage war on the poor plebs (people) of this country. Roll on election day to kick these nasty people into the political wilderness again
