Telford dentists submit application to turn former bank into new practice

Sample News Big

The owners of a Telford dental clinic have submitted an application to convert a former bank into a brand new practice.

The team at Woodhouse Dental Practice is hoping to secure change of use permission to turn the former Lloyds TSB branch in Donnington into a brand new surgery. The proposal has been sent to Telford and Wrekin Council and will now be considered by planning officers.

If the plans are given the green light, the practice owners are hoping to recruit new members of staff, including seven full-time and 3 part-time employees.

The proposals outline plans for a three-surgery practice, which will house spacious, modern treatment rooms, communal patient facilities and staff areas. The vast majority of the renovation work would be carried out internally. If the application is approved, construction work will include removing internal walls and creating larger, open spaces, as well as inserting stud walls to create a more suitable and practical layout. The flooring will also be replaced and old windows will be updated.

The practice will open from 8am until 5pm from Monday to Friday and additional parking would be made available for patients and staff members.
