Tehama County children to receive free dental care
Children in Tehama County, California, will be able to receive free dental care as part of a celebration of children, which will take place throughout April.
Children will be able to receive free dental treatments, including cleaning treatments, extractions, examinations and fillings; the county mobile dental unit will also be out and about providing children with a range of routine treatments.
April will be a celebration of children and young people and organisers are keen to make sure that the events are fun and enjoyable, as well as being beneficial for health and well-being. Children of all ages will be invited to participate in events and activities and parents will also be encouraged to get involved.
Trained dental staff will be on hand to talk to parents and children about good oral hygiene and ways to improve oral health and prevent oral health problems; children will also be invited to take part in education, fun activities to learn about healthy eating, teeth cleaning and visiting the dentist. A range of other events, including Easter activities and events to raise awareness of child abuse, will also be taking place.
