Teeth-whitening a ‘lunch-hour quick-fix’

As the Christmas party season gets into full swing, people can take advantage of quick-fix beauty treatments in their lunch hour, reports the Sun.

The newspaper claims that one of the ways women can choose to enhance their appearance in rapid time is through teeth-whitening treatments.

"Stick to champagne instead of red wine for your first party post-whitening to keep your new teeth pearly white," it advises.

According to the newspaper, the cosmetic dental procedure can take just 45 minutes to complete but the effects can last years.

Other quick-fix beauty treatments include a spray tan, a mini-makeover and eyelash extensions.

The British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry recently announced that whitening toothpastes are ineffective.

It claimed that the chemicals involved in the toothpaste can be abrasive to teeth and sometimes make them appear darker.

The organisation advised that although some over the counter treatments can work, the best results can be achieved at a cosmetic dental clinic.ADNFCR-1374-ID-18396784-ADNFCR
