Swindon husband and wife team seals dream deal for new surgery
A husband and wife team has sealed a dream deal to open their own practice after taking over Gorse Hill Dental Practice in Swindon.
Salil and Ruchi Sood, from Perfect 2Kr Consultants, have taken the reins of the practice after securing a funding package from HSBC.
Ruchi will manage the dental side of operations, using her 18 years of experience in NHS and private dentistry to head the dental team, while Salil will be responsible for the business side.
As part of the practice takeover, the duo has recruited extra members of staff, including two dental nurses, a receptionist and a new practice manager.
Talking about the new venture, Ruchi described having her own practice as a “lifelong dream.” Now, thanks to the help and guidance of HSBC’s relationship manager, Mike Gill, Ruchi has the opportunity to practice independently and launch a business that reflects her ambitions and dedication to patient care and personalised service. Although the prospect of running the business is very exciting, Ruchi has admitted that she is slightly apprehensive about the task that lies in wait.
The couple has plans to expand in the future if the demand for services grows, and both Ruchi and Salil are looking forward to putting their own stamp on the practice and getting involved in local community life.
Ruchi has been vocal in her desires to open a dental business, and she decided to look for ways to take the next step while working at Euro Dental Clinic in Swindon. The previous owner of Gorse Hill was planning to retire and it seemed like the perfect opportunity.
