Swan Hill Orthodontic Patients Facing Service Closure

Sample News Big

Orthodontic patients in Swan Hill could be faced with a trip to Melbourne after an orthodontist confirmed he would be wrapping up services in the area in the near future.

Public patients are being forced to travel to Melbourne because there is a lack of orthodontic services in Swan Hill. Jeanette Healey, Coordinator at the Swan Hill District Health Service Clinic, said that public patients were being referred to the Royal Melbourne Hospital, while private patients were referred to Bee Happy Orthodontics.

However, the visiting dentist from Bee Happy Orthodontics has confirmed that the service will cease in the near future and he is not taking on new patients.

The dentist currently visits Swan Hill twice a fortnight but once he finishes treating his existing patients the service will cease and the company has not confirmed whether or not there will be a replacement service in the area. The closest Bee Happy Orthodontics dentist will be in Kerang if no replacement is instated.
