Michael Oliver, from Oliver’s Dental Studio in Sunderland, is all set to jet off to Morocco this weekend.

Mr Oliver has been collecting Sunderland shirts for the last month and has finally finished washing them all in preparation for his trip to El Jebah in Morocco. He has collected more than 200 striped shirts with the help of the Sunderland Echo and Sunderland FC.

Mr Oliver is planning to give the shirts out to children living in the El Jebah region. Football is very popular in Morocco and the children are crazy about the Premier League, so the shirts will go down a treat.

During his time in Morocco, Mr Oliver will be providing dental treatment for villages in the remote fishing community; his trip begins on Saturday with a flight to Spain and he will then travel to Morocco by boat.

Mr Oliver thanked everyone in Sunderland for their support and said that he cannot wait to see the children’s faces when he hands the out red and white shirts.

This will be his third trip to El Jebah and he said that he is really looking forward to the challenge and cannot wait to see the kids running around the village in their new Sunderland shirts.
