Specialist dental practice in Poole submits plans to expand

Sample News Big

The owner of a specialist dental practice in Poole has submitted plans to add an extension.

The proposals, which relate to The Endodontic Practice in Penn Hill Avenue, outline plans to extend the existing building to create a second surgery. There are also plans to use a ‘semi-basement’ space for an office and additional storage.

John Rhodes, the owner, is an endodontist and he is hoping to extend the practice to take on additional patients and provide more appointments in the months ahead.

The proposals are currently being considered by the planning department at Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council. The plans are available to view on the council portal and local residents can share their views until June 13th.

Endodontics is the field of dentistry, which covers the diagnosis, treatment and management of oral issues that affect the dental pulp, the living tissue of the tooth. Examples of endodontic procedures include root canal treatment.

If the plans are given the green light by council officers, the total floor space of the building will increase by almost 50 square metres.
