Irish Dental Provider, Smiles Dental has announced plans to open up 10 new clinics around the country in 2011; a move that will cost 3 million Euros and will see the creation of 100 new jobs.

The first of these new offices will open for business in January in Letterkenny, Co Donegal and three of the new clinics will be based in Dublin alongside the already existing practice there.

The privately owned provider of dental care plans was established in February 2005 and today there are 13 Smiles Dental clinics in various locations around Southern Ireland, including: Cork, Waterford, Galway, Tallaght and Drogheda. In 2009 the practice treated 100,000 patients for various dental problems. The company employs as many as 60 fully qualified dentists as well as 100 dental nurses and other staff.

Smiles Dental was originally opened as a humble tooth whitening clinic in South Anne Street in Dublin but quickly demand grew for a wider range of treatments. Today Smiles Dental offers all forms of dental treatment at competitive prices including check-ups, cleanings, fillings and veneers right through to the most complicated of dental procedures like orthodontics and cosmetic dentistry; not forgetting the founding service, the tooth whitening procedure.

The company states that their aim is “to offer the type of dentistry that our clients want. With flexible timing, transparent pricing, full explanation of treatments, excellent customer care and after-care service – our goal is to exceed your expectations at every step of your treatment.”

Emmet O’Neill, chief executive of Smiles Dental says the expansion and the economies of sale the expansion allows means that the company can compete very effectively on price.
