Slovakia Emerges as Popular Dental Tourism Destination
Slovakia is emerging as a popular destination for dental tourists.
Slovakia is a relative newcomer to the dental tourism market and the industry is no where near as established as other European countries, such as Greece, Romania, Hungary and Bulgaria. However, doctors and dentists in Slovakia have noticed the potential and are now trying to raise the profile of the country as a destination for people looking to save money on medical and dental care.
Dental tourism has boomed in recent years, as people look to save money on the price of dental treatments. In some cases, tourists can save up to70 percent by hopping on an aeroplane and visiting a foreign clinic and new state of the art clinics are popping up in many European countries. The trend has also become increasingly popular in Asia and Central and South America.
Dental prices in Slovakia are around a third of those in Western Europe and with more advertising and marketing, Slovakia could soon be competing with the most popular European destinations for dental tourism.
