A brother and sister team based in Scotland has added a new practice to its growing dental business.

Rose and Rob Campbell bought their first practice with business partner, James Gibson, from their parents. The acquisition of the Musselburgh surgery was followed by a North Berwick practice in 2019. The trio has recently added a third clinic in East Lothian after completing the purchase of a two-surgery practice in Dunbar.

Campbell & Gibson Dental and Implant Practice is an expanding business, which was formed when siblings Rose and Rob joined forces with James to buy the practice run by Rose and Rob’s parents for 30 years. The goal was to gradually add surgeries in the East Lothian area.

Dr Rose Campbell said that the Dunbar practice offered a brilliant opportunity to build on the “fantastic reputation” of the Musselburgh clinic and grow the “footprint in the area.”

The trio approached the Bank of Scotland for help with acquiring the practice, which was a “huge boost,” Rose explained. The loan has enabled the partners to grow the business while maintaining the highest standards of care for existing patients and new customers.

To help to clear treatment backlogs amassed during the pandemic, the business has extended opening hours and recruited a new dental hygienist. Once the backlog is under control, the owners are hoping to further expand the dental team and welcome new patients to the East Lothian practices.
