Scottish Dentists Plan For the Future with Renovations and Recruitment in Line

A pair of Scottish dentists is planning for the future after acquiring a number of practices in the Ayrshire region.

Colin Hunter and Greig Stevenson recently completed the purchase of a number of small, well-established practices in the north of the county after searching for opportunities in central locations. After doing their research and carrying out a property and business search, the duo, who met at dental school in Dundee, found four surgeries in the Garnock Valley.

The partnership has acquired four practices, including Beith Dental Care, Kilbirnie Dental Care and Dalry Dental Practice and is already planning growth and expansion, with renovations and recruitment in mind.

The pair is planning to take on two new dentists in the coming months and there are ideas floating around about modernising the interiors. The practices remain NHS surgeries and for the time being, the dentists are happy to keep the day to day running very similar in a bid to firm up and secure the jobs on offer at the moment and ensure that patients receive the best care possible with minimal disruption. While there are specialist services available now, in the future, the dentists may be open to providing patients with a wider range of services.

Mr Stevenson suggested that both dentists were very interested in introducing new specialist services to the region and the pair will be working with Dr Mark Sorrentino, the previous owner of the one of the newly acquired practices, to provide patients with dental implant treatment.

The acquisition was facilitated by financial support from the Royal Bank of Scotland.
