A Scottish entrepreneur has added four new dental practices to his ever-growing portfolio.

Jim Hall, co-founder of Kelvin Capital, launched Clyde Munro Dental Group in 2015, and he now runs 26 practices across Scotland. Initially, the company acquired a collection of seven clinics, and the business has since expanded rapidly, taking over several practices between 2016 and 2018 and recently adding another four to the portfolio.

Mr Hall wanted to create a chain based in Scotland, and he has revealed ambitions to increase investment, with plans to acquire up to 24 more clinics by the end of the year.

The feedback from dentists is often focused on the benefits and appeal of a firm that is focused solely on Scotland, and this is one of the main reasons Mr Hall believes the chain has grown so quickly. The ultimate aim is for the brand to be considered as ‘Scotland’s local dentist.’

Mr Hall said that the company has come a long way in a relatively short space of time, but there are still plans to expand across the country, with 19 practices in the pipeline and sights set on several more.

Clyde Munro currently employs more than 100 dental professionals and provides care for over 200,000 patients.
