Studies carried out by the Millennium Research Group have revealed that dental implants are set to become extremely popular in the next five years.

The research suggests that the dental implants market will increase by nine percent in the next 5 years. Other treatments, such as facial injectables, are also set to boom, in line with the growth in popularity of anti-ageing treatments and products.

April Chan, Publications Manager at Millennium Research Group, said that the dental and aesthetic fields had showed continuous growth in recent years and this was set to continue in the next five years. The increased popularity of dental implants is largely due to the increasing demand for anti-ageing treatments, which has been triggered by the rise in celebrity culture and the popularity of television makeover shows and reality television.

New surgical procedures, such as spinal nonfusion implants, OCT catheters and percutaneous heart valve surgery, are also set to grow in the coming years. The procedures have received very positive results and will be used more frequently in the next five years.
