A dental company based in Renfrewshire, Scotland, has opened a new practice. Dargravel Dental Centre has launched a third clinic after securing a funding package from the Royal Bank of Scotland.

The new practice, which has recently opened in the village of Dargravel, has created five new jobs. In total, the chain, which employs a team of 25, serves more than 14,000 patients. The other two practices are located in Erskine and Linwood.

The company is owned by husband and wife team, Philip and Arlene Byrne. Having graduated in 2002, Philip opened his first surgery in 2010. The opening of the Erskine clinic was followed by a new practice in Linwood in 2014. Demand for NHS dental services in the local area has increased in the last decade, and it made sense for the duo to explore the possibility of expanding and setting up a third clinic. When the Dargravel surgery became a viable option, the couple applied to the Royal Bank of Scotland, securing funding worth £130,000 to enable them to turn their vision into a reality.

Dargravel Dental Centre owner, Philip Byrne, said that the opening of the latest practice “highlights our reputation and popularity in the local area” and thanked RBS for their support over the course of the last few months.

Royal Bank of Scotland relationship manager, Adam Galbraith, wished the couple well and said that it was a pleasure to support a local business that is growing and building on a “well-established reputation
