Quedgeley-Based Prima Dentist Targets South American Market
A dental firm based in Quedgeley has successfully expanded, launching its business in South America.
Prima Dental, which specialises in producing bespoke dental drills and employs more than 160 people at its Gloucestershire base, is now seeking to conquer South America. The continent has a lucrative dental market which is growing rapidly and the firm is hoping to make major in-roads in the coming months.
As part of the exciting venture, Prima has joined forces with Brazilian manufacturer Angelus.
This will be the first time the company has worked outside of the UK and managing director Richard Muller said it’s an exciting time. The market is expanding incredibly quickly and from its new base in Brazil, Prima Dental has the opportunity to trade all over South America.
So far, the feedback and response from dentists and distributors in Brazil and further afield has been very positive. Brazil alone has more than 200,000 dentists and that number is rising year on year, so the potential for growth is huge.
