Portadown Dental Practice to Host Charity Event
A dental practice in Portadown will play host to an important fundraising event this week. Magee Dental Practice in Lurgan will host a special evening to generate funds for local charity PIPS and enable local residents to access a range of health services.
During the events, which will take place on Thursday 14th and Friday 15th January, the dental team will be on hand to provide mouth cancer examinations. There will also be a healthy cooking demonstration by the Lean Supper Club and free lung function tests will be available.
Raffle tickets are currently on sale and there are some great prizes available, including £250 worth of Magee Dental Practice vouchers, which will pay for professional teeth whitening treatment. Other prizes include holiday vouchers from Clubworld, a hamper of fresh produce from Henderson and a bouquet of flowers from Luke Blooms. Many other local businesses have also donated gift vouchers.
Funds from the event will be donated to PIPS, a charity that helps to support those affected by suicide. PIPS was set up in 2007 to raise awareness of mental health problems and provide support for those who have considered suicide and those coping with the loss of a loved one as a result of suicide. Proceeds of this event will be passed on to PIPS Upper Bann.
