Police are appealing for witnesses after a robbery in Darlington. A mobile phone and an e-reader were stolen from Lacey, Wright and Kendrew Dental Surgery in Darlington.

A thief entered the practice, which is located on Duke Street, at around 4.40pm on Tuesday 23rd July. They stole a mobile phone and a Kindle Fire after jumping over the reception desk and gaining access to the staff room. The e-reader and Samsung mobile phone were on a chair in the room. The thief then left the building and ran in an unknown direction. At the time, the reception desk was unattended

Police believe that there must have been witnesses who saw the man escaping, as Duke Street is very busy and at that time of the day there will have been a lot of people around.

Anyone who has any information at all about the incident is advised to contact police on 101 and ask for PC Paula Ruck from Darlington Police.
