Police appeal for information following Yarm dental practice robbery

Police in Yorkshire are appealing for information after a dental practice in Yarm was targeted by a thief.

A male, who was captured on CCTV, stole a purse from the lockers in the staff room at Oasis Dental Care. The suspect, who has been described as a white male, went on to spend nearly £7,000 on a stolen bank card taken from the purse. CCTV footage shows the man, who is approximately 5’6 with short black hair, standing at the reception desk. He had a southern accent and a stocky build and was aged between 35 and 40 years old, according to witnesses.

Police are appealing for anyone who has any information about the burglary, or anyone who recognises the man from the CCTV images, which have been shared in the local press, to come forward. The incident took place on Wednesday February 7th when the man gained entrance into the staff room and took a purse containing a bank card.

Anyone who does have information about the theft is advised to contact 101 quoting incident number 022500 and asking for PC Daniel Layton, or to call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
