Poland has become an incredibly popular destination for dental tourists, it has been revealed.
Poland is a popular destination for UK dental patients due to frequent cheap flights and enticing prices; the cost of dental implants, for example is around £550 in Poland, compared to around £1,500-£2,500 in the UK. Krakow has also emerged as a popular city break destination over the last few years, as budget airlines offer daily flights from several airports in the UK.
Cosmetic dentistry has become very popular over the course of the last decade, as more and more people choose to have treatment to improve the look of their smile; in the UK, cosmetic dental treatment can set you back hundreds, even thousands of pounds, while Polish clinics offer the same treatments with a saving of up to 70 per cent.
New clinics are popping up in Poland all the time as a result of increased demand for treatment; however, dentists in the UK urge patients to be cautious when going abroad for treatment. Prices in the UK may be higher but the quality of work may also be higher and regulations in other countries may not be as strict. Patients are advised to research their treatment thoroughly and always ensure that they visit a qualified, registered dentist.
