Plans submitted to turn former Boscombe dental practice into flats

Plans to convert a former dental practice in Boscombe into flats have been submitted to planning officers in Bournemouth.

The clinic, which was previously known as Wootton Lodge Dental Practice, is located on Christchurch Road. It has been vacant since the surgery closed unexpectedly in April this year. At the time, patients were informed without any prior warning, and urged to find alternative arrangements at nearby dental practices. The clinic offered both private and NHS dental care, and hundreds of patients have since been forced to register with other surgeries.

A few months after the closure of the dental clinic, developer TCI Construction has applied to turn the property into flats for residential use. The proposals outline plans to turn the surgery into two 1-bedroom flats, which would come with a parking space.

There are no plans to adjust or alter the exterior of the building.
