Planning Application Submitted For New Dental Practice In Basingstoke

Sample News Big

Plans to create a new dental practice in Andover, near Basingstoke, have been submitted to the council.

The plans propose to convert a house in Charlton Road into a new dental surgery. The plans include the provision of a parking area, lobby, a new fire door at the front of the property, a roof light, a covered bin store and covered bicycle storage.

The application has been submitted to Test Valley Borough Council and it will be reviewed by the Northern Area Planning Committee on Thursday 6th December. One of the conditions for planning approval, which has been supported by officers, would be that work starts on the building within the next three years.

The proposals were accompanied by a supporting statement, which stated that there is currently a shortage of dental practices in Andover and with the population set to increase in the coming years; a new dental practice would be a very useful addition to the local community. The statement also confirmed that the ratio of dentists to patients was around 1 to 1,529.
