A dentist from Pickering is on the lookout for new riders to join her team for a charity Tour de Yorkshire ride. Sarah Glover and her team will be taking part in the Tour’s Sportive event, which takes place on the final day. Sarah is hoping to raise as much money as possible for antibiotics research.

Sarah, from Birdgate Dental, is offering 15 people the chance to take up a free place on the ride in exchange for a fundraising contribution of £100 per participant, which will be donated to Antibiotic Research UK. The charity was established by medical experts in 2014 and is hoping to produce new antibiotics by the year 2020.

Sarah is a keen cycler and she is a qualified British Cycling ride leaders. She has participated in the Tour de Yorkshire Sportive before and after thoroughly enjoying it, she wanted to do it again. The route provides a challenge, and it’s an ideal opportunity to get together with friends and raise money for a good cause. The professional cyclists are competing on the same day, which always promises a good atmosphere, and many of the supports stick around to cheer on the Sportive riders.

Sarah is urging anyone who is interested in the places to get in touch. She suggests that the short route, which is 45km long, is suitable for anyone with a “reasonable level of fitness.”

Sarah will be joined by fellow staff members from Birdgate Dental, as well as riders from JWP Accountants in York. The event is due to take place on Sunday 30th April.
