Petrol Station Worker Needs Emergency Dental Treatment After Attack

A petrol station cashier needed emergency dental treatment following at attack at the Murco service station in central Reading; the 26 year old man was left with facial injuries after he was hit in the face by a customer.

A man walked into the petrol station, which is located on London Road, asked for cigarettes and then reportedly shouted at and punched the 26 year old worker. The victim sustained facial injuries and was taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital and later the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, where he received wire treatment to realign his teeth.

Police have released a CCTV image of the attacker and are appealing for anyone who has any information about the incident to come forward; the man is described as mixed race, around 40 years old, of a stocky build; he is believed to be around 6’1 with a bald head and a sculpted black beard. At the time of the attack he was wearing a cream fleece jacket.
