A dentist from Penkridge, Staffordshire, hosted an afternoon tea party to celebrate 30 years in the trade earlier this month. Mark Emms invited colleagues, friends, family members and former workmates along to the party, which took place at The Priors Dental Surgery in Pinfold Lane.

As well as celebrating 30 years as a dentist, Mr Emms also marked his 26th year at The Priors. Guests were treated to a sumptuous afternoon tea in a marquee adjacent to the practice. Usually sticklers for healthy eating habits, the team put their dental concerns to one side for the afternoon and enjoyed a selection of cakes, pastries and sandwiches.

Mr Emms had been working as a dentist for four years when he joined The Priors in 1989. Now principal dentist, he also holds a Master’s degree in Conservative Dentistry and has established a national and international reputation for his expertise in implantology.

The Priors Dental Surgery is a bustling private practice and offers an array of cosmetic and restorative dental treatments such as dental implants.

Mr Emms decided to host the afternoon tea party in order to get everyone involved in the celebrations and mark a special achievement. In the last 30 years, dentistry has changed considerably and it’s great to get everyone together and look back and share stories and memories.
