Penarth Dental Team To Scale The Three Peaks For Charity

A dental team from Hickman Dental and Laser Clinic, Penarth is preparing to take on the Three Peaks challenge to raise money for charity.

Dentists, Dr Mark Roach, Dr Sandy Rupra and Dr Craig Lewis will join forces with Kirsty, Laura, Teresa and Debbie from the laser clinic team to complete the challenge. The walk involves scaling three of Wales’ highest mountains, Snowdon, Cadair Idris and Pen-y-Fan.

The team has been training in Snowdon and will attempt the challenge on the 12th July. The route is 21 miles long and the team will ascend 9,397 feet over the course of 24 hours.

The team was unable to decide on one charity so they have chosen a selection, which includes the British Heart Foundation, Alzheimer’s UK, Wales Air Ambulance, LATCH,Great Ormond Street, Autism Cymru, Cerebra and Kidney Research Unit Wales.

The team is working very hard to raise as much money as possible to split between the charities, all of which do amazing work to support people affected by illnesses or adversity. They are taking part in a number of fundraising activities and will continue to raise money until they have completed the challenge.
