One of the USA’s largest dental providers, Patterson Dental, has joined the fight against breast cancer.

Patterson Dental has launched a new initiative, which will help to raise awareness of breast cancer, as well as promoting good oral health. The new scheme will be known as ‘Grins for a Good Cause’ and will involve 75 Patterson Dental offices across the country. The offices will join forces with existing cancer charities to raise money and awareness to help raise awareness of breast cancer amongst local communities.

Patterson Dental will also give some of the proceeds raised by the sale of dental products to a breast cancer awareness charity.

Paul Guggenheim, president of Patterson Dental, said that the new initiative was an excellent means of raising awareness of general health concerns as well as raising the profile and educating people about oral health and breast cancer.

A series of events will take place over the course of the next few months to celebrate the ‘Grins for a Good Cause’ programme. Organisers hope to involve members of local communities, teach people about the signs and symptoms of breast cancer and encourage people to attend routine screening programmes. It is estimated that more than 200,000 women are diagnosed with breast cancer each year.

To find out more information about the events and the initiative, contact a local Patterson Dental office or visit the website.
