A dental business based in Oldham has opened a new practice. The owners of Ascroft Medical Centre invited the deputy mayor of the borough to attend the official opening and have a look around the new, state of the art facility.

Founders, Dr Piotr Kieruzel and Krzysztof Zemlik showed Councillor Jenny Harrison around the new Clegg Street surgery, introducing her to staff members and discussing the services that would be available to local patients. The deputy mayor also took the opportunity to sample the new dental chairs, which received the seal of approval.

The business was established in 2015 with a view to catering for the needs of Oldham’s Polish population. With a patient list boasting over 7,000 names in 2019, it quickly became clear that the ambitious duo had identified a niche within the dental industry. The practice has grown significantly in the last five years, and the new facility, which is located in the heart of the town, affords further development.

Mr Zemlik said that the centre has an “ever-expanding remit” and the team is eager to become an active part of the wider community of Greater Oldham. The clinic was short-listed for two awards at the National Dentistry Awards and the co-founders have grand plans for the future. In addition to cutting-edge dental services, the centre offers oral surgery, midwifery and maternity services and minor surgery. The team is also promoting free medical open days to enable local residents to learn more about the services and facilities on offer.
