Okehampton dental practice manager left beaming after awards nomination
A dental practice manager from Okehampton is beaming from ear to ear after learning that he has been nominated for a prestigious award. Edward Jones, from Plymouth’s Hartley Dental, was nominated for the Practice Manager of the Year award by the owner of the clinic, Dr Charlie Fox.
Mr Jones, who is known to most as Edd, was put forward by Dr Fox, but his nomination was also backed by references provided by consultants, suppliers, and members of the dental profession. Edd was entered into a group of nominees, and he emerged victorious. He will now compete for the grand prize, which will be awarded at a lavish ceremony at the Hilton Hotel in Birmingham. The event is part of the Dentistry Show, which takes place at the NEC on the 12th and 13th May.
Edd said it was a “great feeling” to be short-listed for the award, and he added that the nomination speaks volumes for the entire team. The dentists, nurses and reception staff at the practice are “supportive, professional, and empowering” and this makes the job much easier and more enjoyable.
The annual awards are designed to recognise the finest dental professionals in the country. Other awards, which will be handed out on the night, include Dentist of the Year, Dental Nurse of the Year and Team of the Year.
