Oasis healthcare has sealed a deal to take over Apex Dental Care. The announcement comes shortly after the acquisition of Smiles Dental.

Apex Dental care was established in 2004 and has 35 practices across the UK. Oasis has not revealed the cost of the takeover.

The recent acquisitions have increased the number of practices owned by Oasis Healthcare by over 100, from 204 to 310; these include a mixture of private and NHS dental practices.

Oasis already works in close contact with the Department of Health and this will continue in the future. Currently, a number of the practices are involved in NHS pilots and the firm is committed to making improvements to patient care in line with changes to the dental contract.

Chief executive of Oasis Healthcare, Justin Ash, said that it was a great honour to welcome Apex to the Oasis group and added that both companies have a similar vision and a shared commitment to providing first class standards of dentistry.

Mr Ash confirmed that the acquisitions of Smiles Dental and Apex Dental Care have contributed to significant growth and expansion and this is a very exciting time for Oasis Healthcare. Mr Ash said that the deals highlight the firm’s intentions to progress and evolve.
