Oakham dental nurse all smiles after being crowned Nurse of the Year
A dental nurse from Oakham is all smiles after scooping the prestigious Dental Nurse of the Year award at the 2019 Mydentist Excellence Awards.
Emma Clithero beat off competition from over 500 nominated nurses to claim the title. Emma, 38, has been working as a dental nurse for 20 years and has spent the last four years at the mydentist practice in Oakham.
Mydentist has over 600 practices around the UK, and to be nominated, let alone to win, is an incredible achievement. Emma was selected as the winner in recognition of mentoring and tutoring skills, as well as her clinical expertise and popularity with patients. She devotes a lot of time to helping student dental nurses and is also involved in assessments.
In addition to her success at the Mydentist Excellence Awards, Emma has also been nominated for an award at a ceremony hosted by the British Society of Dental Nurses.
