North East Dentist All Smiles After Award Nomination

Sample News Big

A cosmetic dentist from the North East has plenty to smile about after receiving a nomination for this year’s Aesthetic Dentistry Awards.

Ken Harris from Riveredge Cosmetic Dentistry in Sunderland has been selected for the shortlist for the ‘Single Arch Restorative’ category and he will fight it out against leading professionals from all over the country for the coveted award.

Mr Harris received recognition for this restoration work on a patient who was attacked and lost his two front teeth. He replaced the missing teeth with a bridge and the results were exceptional. The case, which Mr Harris described as “complex”, was also hugely rewarding as the results made a significant difference to the confidence and quality of life of the patient.

Having already won multiple awards at previous ceremonies, Mr Harris is hoping to add another to his impressive collection. This was the only category he entered this year so he was delighted to receive news of the nomination.

When he’s not busy treating patients, Dr Harris travels a lot, mentoring other dentists and leading training sessions, seminars and conferences. He is one of just two Fellows of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
