Newport dental team celebrates historic anniversary
A dental team from Newport has plenty to smile about after celebrating 40 years in the business. Staff from Chepstow Road Dental Surgery invited colleagues and patients from the past and present to mark the 40th anniversary of the practice.
To celebrate the milestone, the practice hosted a party, with more than 50 guests in attendance. Dentist, Philip Evans, has been working at the clinic since it first opened in 1978. At the time, he ran the business with partner Paul Williams, but he has since taken charge, with Paul retiring 10 years ago.
Dr Evans said that he has thoroughly enjoyed his time at the surgery and he loves working, which is why he’s chosen not to retire yet. The practice has an important role within the community and patients and staff get on well.
Dentist Ben Brunswick joined the team when Paul retired and he said that every day is enjoyable. The practice has always been popular and the team is really special. Patients are made to feel welcome and everyone is friendly and upbeat.
Retired dentist, Paul, reminisced about the days when he and Philip worked to convert the surgery into a more modern premises and said that the duo was lucky to enjoy instant popularity within the local community. The clinic has always been busy and the team has always made an effort to interact with local people and play a role in community life, which has undoubtedly contributed to its ongoing success.
