Newbury Dental Team to Take on Sponsored Walk for Charity

A dental team from Newbury is preparing for a 14-mile sponsored walk to raise money for a good cause.

The team from Cousins Dental Practice is raising money for the Alzheimer’s Society as part of a fundraising initiative to celebrate the surgery’s 20^th anniversary. Dental nurses, dentists and reception staff will be joined by three dogs for the walk, which takes place on the 17^th May. The team will be hiking through Speen, Boxford, Bagnor and Wickham when they take on the Lambourn Valley Way.

Spokeswoman Jane Cameron explained that a collective decision was made to support the Alzheimer’s Society due to personal experiences and interaction with patients who suffer from the disease. The practice has previously supported Diabetes UK, Cancer Research UK and the British Heart Foundation.

Anybody who wishes to support the sponsored walk is encouraged to donate via www.justgiving.com/CousinsDentalwalk or send a text saying COUS800 to 70070. Collection boxes have also been placed at reception.
