Sample News Big

Over one thousand dental patients asked for an appointment on the day the new DenTal22 opened in Retford.

The DenTal22 practice has taken over from Crown House Surgery on Chapelgate and thousands of patents have already registered. Sarah Burton, the practice manage, said that she had been surprised by the amazing reaction from local people but the team were prepared for an influx of patients and plenty of staff were available to talk to new patients and take telephone calls. Ms Burton said that the phones had been ringing non-stop for the first few days but staff had coped with the high number of applications and were now looking forward to welcoming new patients to the practice.

Adam Walker, one of the dentists at the practice, said that staff were delighted with the demand for dental places and claimed that the team was no excited about getting on with treating patients and meeting new clients. The practice currently has three dentists and a dental therapist, but two additional dentists and another therapist will join the team in the coming weeks to help cater for the demand. The surgery also has access to qualified Oral Health Educators and dental radiographers.

The DenTal22 surgery is committed to delivery excellent standards of NHS care and will try to provide care for everyone who wants it in the area; however, places are filling up fast so staff are encouraging patients to contact the surgery as quickly as possible to get a place on the register.
