New NHS Dental Surgery Opens In Drumsagard
A new NHS dental surgery has opened in Drumsagard. The Smilescene Dental Surgery is located in Hallside Court and will serve Drumsagard, as well as Newton,Cairns and Halfway.
The practice will provide a full range of general dental treatments, as well as emergency dental care and some cosmetic services. The surgery is accessible on the ground floor and flexible appointment times will be available.
Dental surgeons, Kevin Clark and Donald McIntosh recently held an opening evening along with other members of staff.
News of the new practice has been welcomed by Councillor Walter Brogan, although he believes that more new facilities are required in the Cambuslang East region. The new practice will improve access to dental services and the ground floor access is excellent news for patients with limited mobility and physical disabilities; the dental practice in Halfway is located on the first floor, which means that it is difficult for some patients to see a dentist.
Smilescene will be involved in the Childsmile campaign, which aims to improve standards of oral health among children.
