New NHS dental practices to open in Reading

Sample News Big

Two new NHS dental practices are set to open in Reading, it has been announced.

NHS Berkshire West has revealed that two new practices will open in Earley and Pangbourne by the end of the year; plans to open a surgery in Finchampstead have also been revealed. Last year, new surgeries opened in Wokingham, Twyford and Newbury. The new surgeries will add to the current 51 practices in the West Berkshire area.

Hugh O’Keeffe, from NHS Berkshire West, said that the new surgeries will further improve NHS services in the Reading area. Money is being invested to improve access to NHS services and enable patients to register with a local dentist, rather than travelling long distances to see an NHS dentist. The NHS is keen to promote NHS dentistry and is actively encouraging patients to register with an NHS dentist in their local area; attending regular routine check-ups helps to promote good oral health, which can also help promote good general health.

For information about NHS dentists in Reading and the surrounding area, patients are urged to contact NHS Berkshire West or consult the website.
