New NHS dental practice opens in Bath
A brand new NHS dental practice opened in Bath yesterday (Tuesday 28 th May).
Chelsea Road Dental Practice has taken on a new NHS dental contract, which will provide services for patients in the local area six days a week. The practice will be open from Monday to Friday with one late night evening session and a Saturday morning surgery.
Regional director of Commissioning South West, Rachel Pearce, confirmed that NHS England had carried out “a robust competitive procurement exercise” to find a suitable provider in the city. The new contract will increase the number of NHS dental places that are available and also offer flexibility for those who work shifts or full-time hours. Ms Pearce confirmed that the trust is working with the practice to ensure a seamless start to the contract.
Dentist Dr Ashish Godara, who moved to Bath 12 years ago with his wife, said that it was “a great pleasure” to be opening the practice and embarking on a new contract that will deliver high-quality NHS dental care to local residents. Dr Godara pledged to put community and quality first, and added that the entire team is looking forward to getting to know patients and making a mark in the local community.
