A new mobile dental unit has hit the roads in Central Pennsylvania.

The state of the art dental van was delivered to the Central Pennsylvania Institute of Science and Technology this week and will serve local communities.

The brand new dental van boasts a range of impressive features, including state of the art equipment and instruments, two flat screen televisions, X-ray sensors, digital X-ray units, a wheelchair lift and toilets.

The mobile unit was funded by a federal grant and will help to provide dental treatment as part of an outreach programme. Todd Taylor, from the institute, said that staff were excited about the new van and were looking forward to getting out and about in the community; he also said that the institute was planning to join forces with Centre Volunteers in Medicine and other non-profit organisations to provide care for local people.
