New Home For Newcastle Dental Practice

A Newcastle dental practice has relocated to larger premises; Park View Dental practice overlooks Heaton Park and provides care for private and NHS dental patients. The practice has moved to a former library with lovely views out over the park.

Park View Dental is run by Ian Grime, a dental surgeon and currently has capacity for 2,500 patients; the plan is to double this over the course of the next 12 months with the help of two new dentists.

The original surgery was founded by Ian’s father-in-law in 1951; it was located around half a mile from the new premises.

As well as increasing the number of patient places, the practice is also planning to offer more specialist dental services, including cosmetic dentistry and dental implants.

The move was funded by a loan from Lloyds TSB’s Commercial Banking Healthcare Team through the Funding for Lending scheme, which is supported by the government. The money was used to convert the property into a modern dental practice and to purchase equipment. The new practice houses three surgeries, an X-ray room and a sterilisation suite.

Mr Grime said that the move is really exciting for the staff team and the patients; the new space is much larger and there is scope to expand and offer new services, including dental implants, which have become increasingly popular over the last five years.

Mr Grime thanked Lloyds TSB Commercial Banking and said that everyone was looking forward to a bright future.
