A new dental surgery is set to open in Neath Port Talbot. Dunes Dental Care will provide both private and NHS dental services.

Practice director, James Bater, is opening the new South Wales practice after successfully securing funding from HSBC UK. The package, which is worth a six-figure sum, has enabled Mr Bater to acquire, renovate and equip the premises, which were previously used as offices. The disused block provides ample space, and there are plans to create a large reception and waiting area and two treatment rooms, which will be kitted out with state of the art technology.

The practice is due to open later this spring and will provide a wide range of private and NHS dental services to patients based in Neath and Port Talbot.

Mr Bater said that he was “thrilled” to be opening his first surgery in an area where demand for services is very high. The bank has been extremely helpful in getting the funding package together, and the opening of the new clinic will make a positive difference to local people.

Phil Sargeant, area director for South Wales, said that HSBC UK is honoured to be working with Welsh businesses that are looking to provide valuable services and improve and enhance quality of life in local communities around Wales.

The clinic, which is set to open at the beginning of April, is now accepting new NHS dental patients. Anyone who is interested in registering or finding out more about the services available at Dunes Dental Care is advised to visit http://dunesdental.co.uk.
