A brand new dental training practice has opened its doors to patients in Burnley.

The new 3.1 million pound practice will provide a comprehensive range of treatments for patients, as well as providing excellent training facilities for dental students. The Quest Dental Care building was developed and constructed by the Eric Wright Group and handed over the NHS East Lancashire yesterday.

The practice boasts twelve dental suites, all equipped with the latest technology and will provide care for around ten thousand patients. The centre is clean, modern and spacious and patients and students will benefit from state of the art technology. According to staff at the centre, hundreds of people have already made enquiries about registering with the practice.

The dental centre will also provide state of the art training facilities for student dentists and dental therapists from the East Lancashire Dental Education Centre in nearby Accrington. The centre will give the students a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience and develop their skills.

Representatives from NHS East Lancashire said the unique dental centre was part of a larger effort to improve access to NHS dental services in the region. The Primary Care Trust has pledged to provide NHS places for 382,000 people in Rossendale, Ribble Valley, Pendle, Burnley and Hyndburn and is investing large amounts of money in the area.

The practice is now accepting new patients and people interested in registering are encouraged to contact NHS East Lancashire or the practice directly.
