A new dental practice has opened in Alford bringing smiles to the faces of local residents. Young Smiles Dental Care was officially opened by local councillor, Alistair Ross, on Monday, having been set up by the husband and wife team, Justin and Jill Young.

Jill was born in Alford and is delighted to bring this important service to the local community. The practice had more than 2,000 registrations before it opened and has attracted a lot of interest from local people.

The husband and wife team spent a lot of time on the project and made every effort to create a comfortable, relaxing space for patients and staff members. The exterior of the building has been redone and there are now no empty units within the development. Jill said she hopes that the surgery will bring more people to the village in order to boost local business.

Jill will manage the practice, while husband, Justin, will lead the team of four dentists. The practice is designed to cater for the modern lifestyle and appointments will be available in the evenings and on Saturdays.

Alastair Ross, councillor for Huntly, Strathbogie and Howe of Alford, said he was “delighted” to see a new dental practice in Alford.
