New Dental Practice to Open in Stornoway
A new NHS dental practice will open in Stornoway, it has been confirmed.
The new practice, which will house three surgeries, will provide at least 4,500 NHS places.
The announcement comes after the closure of the Independent Dental Practice, which had been based at the Western Isles Dental Centre, earlier in the year. Following the closure, NHS Western Isles approved an application to create a new three-surgery practice in the heart of Stornoway.
The new practice will predominantly offer NHS treatment, but private services will also be available.
Currently, the expected opening date is early 2016. However, residents will be provided with more details about the exact opening date, the services available at the practice and registration processes in due course.
